THE PROPERTY (17, Grand Parade, Lorne, Victoria, Australia):
2 storey, 4 bedroom beach house with spectacular sea views from large East facing deck - and a smaller North facing deck to catch the afternoon and evening sun
Centrally situated just 5 mins walk to the surf beach, even closer to shops and all amenities, including a cinema, supermarket, specialist shops and numerous good restaurants.
Directly overlooks the Great Ocean Road, which, apparently, offers one of the World's most memorable driving experiences.
THE HOUSE
Location on GRAND PDE , Lorne.
Upper Floor (Street Level)
- Entrance hall.
- Modern bathroom with vanity, toilet, bath and shower. Large laundry tub.
- Separate 2nd toilet with vanity.
- Bedroom 1: Two single beds with doonas plus a small child?s mattress/sleeping area on top of wardrobe (with ladder, no bedding).
- Bedroom 2: Main bedroom, double bed with queen size doona. Wardrobe, dressing table etc.
- Open plan kitchen, dining, lounge opening onto deck with sea views. Open fire place, TV/video/stereo (byo portable CD player), 2 large couches (one a bed/settee). Extending dining table and chairs. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, electric kettle, electric frypan, cutlery and crockery for eight.
- Main deck with barbeque, outdoor setting for 6 with large umbrella.
- Some basic food items (eg salt, tea, and oil, cleaning materials) are at the house. Please replace.
NOTE: There is no phone but (unfortunately!) mobile phones work well.
Lower Floor (Ground Level at Rear)
- Exterior stair way (via second North facing sun deck) to Lower floor.
- Lower deck - sea views and outdoor setting for 6. Large laundry tub for wet suits.
- Bedroom 3 - Trilogy bunk bed (double below, single on top) queen and single doonas.
- Bedroom 4 - Double bed and queen size doona.
- Second bathroom - with vanity, toilet, shower and twin-tub washing machine.
- Steps to garden and clothesline.
NOTE: You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels.
- The house is strictly non-smoking (apart from the fire, which knows no better).
- If you are an addict, please smoke on the lower deck.
Instructions on arrival (after 3pm)
- Turn on the hot water switch at the meter box (located on sun deck).
- The fridge is usually left on - please leave it as you found it.
- The two identical keys fit all the Yale locks - except the downstairs bathroom; this key is always left on a hook by the shelves in the dining area.
Instructions on departure (by noon)
- The smaller green wheelie bin (rubbish) and the larger yellow-topped recycling bins MUST be left on the nature strip on/before Sunday night. They are emptied at 05.30 Monday morning.
- Empty and leave the fridge turned to LOW. Defrost if necessary and please leave clean.
- Switch OFF the hot water.
- Ensure downstairs bathroom key is returned to hook.
- Please leave the house clean and tidy.
- Return the house keys to us asap to ensure the prompt return of your bond.
